My name is Jo Henderson, welcome to my latest venture – JHJC. I am a serial entrepreneur with over 15 successful years within the UK and international jewellery industries. JHJC is set up with the sole intention of helping designers and brands develop through tailored advice and services, in terms of identifying and taking business opportunities, potential realisation and profit. I can help restructure, motivate and develop brands as well as provide crucial strategic advice and mentoring for startups and designers.

Why me? – I have set up and ran one of the leading independent jewellery retailers in the UK. Recruiting staff, developing them, buying collections and designing my own! Retail firmly underpins everything I do. As a consultant to jewellery brands, I have been instrumental in doubling the accounts and significantly increased the profits of a designer jewellery brand, successfully developing a brand new concept for a worldwide brand and helped an emerging brand win a Collection of The Year, within 6 months of working with them!

My extensive network of contacts within the industry provides unparalleled access to a knowledge base that would take years to establish. I have ran seminars for Jewelry & Watch Birmingham, am a panelist for International Jewellery London and an awards judge for the Retail Jeweller Awards and for whom I write a monthly sales training column. I am also a member of the BJA and an official training provider for them.

From high-end fine jewelry and diamonds to fashion jewellery, I keep abreast of the latest developments and am able to offer expert guidance on all aspects of the buying process. My buying experience is beneficial to both retailers and brands, and will ensure you and your brand stay up to date.

In-store environment consultancy

Having a retail background myself, I know all too well the intricacies of the shop floor. My expertise lies in the best way engage and motivate staff through sales and product training and thus providing a superior level of service to customers. I am fully competent in utilising space and creating an ambience for effective selling.  Visual merchandising and store location planning and design are also key components of this service.
